In the middle of summer, Sumi & Toshi and I went for a walk through the Chofu neighborhood, following the riverbank to a summer-time firework show at a local festival. We celebrated their engagement and upcoming September wedding; they wore traditional summer yukatas, the same one they bought together on their first date. A soft pastel sunset and haze accented the late afternoon, complementing the warmth felt by all.
